Our member Ng Yih Yng shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Newcastle FC in April 2026.

We got dressed up early and headed to The George pub which is one of the oldest pubs  near the Emirates stadium to have an arsenal lager and check out some cool memorabilia like Ian Wright’s signed shirt. Also chanced upon a Nandos which was advertising their Saka hot sauce!

We walked around the Emirates stadium to take photos on all sides and finally spotted the Singapore Arsenal Supporters sign on the walls of the stadium and proceeded to catch the match.

It was an early Eze wondergoal in the 9th minute from a short corner and there were wild cheers but as the match went on it became a very tense match as Newcastle was hard to break down further and many anxiety causing moments. At the end, it was 1-0 to The Arsenal and we went home elated and relieved as well. Thanks to the Singapore Gooners supporters club for organising the ballots! COYG
