Good day Gooners!

Four points from two away games this week. One was a grind; the other had enough drama to keep us awake at 3am.

FOREST 0–1 ARSENAL

It wasn’t pretty at the City Ground, but Madueke came off the bench to find the winner. A clean sheet, three points and another reminder that ugly wins count just the same.

BAYERN 2–2 ARSENAL

That was a proper European heavyweight clash. Eze came off the bench to replace an injured Saka and put us ahead, before Bayern turned it around and Rice struck late to earn us a point in Munich. Praying Saka’s injury isn’t too bad.

I’m especially happy for Eze and Gyökeres. After a difficult showing against Forest, Eze responded with a goal at the Allianz Arena. Gyökeres has seen limited minutes this season, but he made his minutes count too, combining with Rice for the equaliser. That’s exactly the impact we need from the squad.

I said last week that this game would show us where we stand against one of Europe’s strongest sides. Coming back to take a point in Munich says plenty about this team.

NEXT UP: ARSENAL VS EVERTON — LIVE AT MOLLY MALONE’S
Premier League
Saturday, 24 October, 10:00pm Singapore time

Everton went unbeaten in their first six league games before Chelsea handed them a 2–0 defeat last weekend. They’ve drawn four of their seven matches so far, so we’ll need to be patient and take our chances at the Emirates.

With Saka injured, our options in attack are looking stretched. Hopefully we’ll see Tzolis back soon. In the meantime, this could be a good opportunity for Dowman to get some minutes. He scored against Everton last season — $2 says he does it again!

The game will be shown live at Molly Malone’s, so come down and cheer on the boys with your fellow Singapore Gooners!

MIDWEEK: FLEETWOOD TOWN VS ARSENAL
Carabao Cup
Wednesday, 28 October, 4:00am Singapore time

Then it’s off to Fleetwood with a place in the quarter-finals on the line. Squad depth gets another test — so do your alarm clocks.

Come on you Gunners!
