Our member Ronald See shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Kairat FC in January 2026.

During our first visit to the Emirates for the NLD 2 years ago, we got to know Charles
(whom we bumped into during the layover at Dubai). We met up again during the fan
party and decided to try and catch the ManU and Kairat games. Alas, the ManU
game wasn’t to be, but we still caught the almighty Kairat.

Champions League night under the stars, listening to the anthem in-person, one of
the best feeling ever.

The match got off to a quick start and Gyokeres got us off to the perfect start with a
goal within the first 5 mins. Unfortunately, Kairat was awarded penalty after the
restart and it was 1-1. Sounds familiar to the NLD game eh? Kai was on fire on his
return from injury, and he scored to give us a 2-1 lead with Martinelli getting on the
act as well making it 3-1 before the break with all 3 goals scored at our end.
Second half was a slow paced affair, with Jesus having a goal disallowed and Kairat
scoring another consolation goal just before the full-time whistle.

As we type this in Feb, we had just won 4-1 away at Spurs and the season is
heading towards an exciting end and lets us all cross our fingers that we can finally
lift the Premier League and more silverware in May!
