Our member Aung Nyan Phyo shares his visit to The Arsenal to watch the team take on Sporting CP in April 2026.
Today’s match is so special not only because it’s a Champions League quarter-final, but also because I got a special chance with Arsenal Singapore members to see the players arrive by coach for the first time. I realized they are all very focused, with most of them wearing headphones just heading down to the changing room.I quietly wished that Arsène Wenger would arrive and surprise us by greeting us before the players came. I know it’s just a dream.
The performance from the boys was acceptable, although the attack wasn’t very good. It was great to see Piero Hincapié back in the lineup—he put in a very solid performance just after returning from injury. Bringing on Cristhian Mosquera to replace Ben White was a good decision defensively. The atmosphere was superb, especially with the new tifo display. Hopefully, the club can organise more of these for upcoming matches. I believe this kind of display really helps boost the players’ motivation. Thank you Arsenal Singapore for making this wonderful experience.
Let’s end the season with two massive trophies.
